A conservation project is a bit like a jigsaw
puzzle. There are lots of different pieces and they need to be put
together in a certain order. Every piece is precious. If you lose
one, you won't be able to finish the jigsaw.
Before you even start the puzzle, it's best to work out how you are
going to tackle it. In conservation, careful planning is the most
important piece of the jigsaw. It helps to make sure that the other
pieces of the project fall into place (see First
Things First).
